For a large, complex organisation with a central operations function, we are seeking a senior leader to take responsibility for the leadership and further development of the data management function. The organisation is in a transformation phase, with a strong focus on structure, scalability and value creation.
Assignment
The Head of Data Management is responsible for the design, leadership and ongoing professionalisation of the data management organisation. The role focuses on delivering reliable, consistent and timely data services to support both operational processes and strategic decision-making. The position carries a clear change agenda and contributes to the continued development of the data operating model.
- Overall responsibility for Data Management, including Data Support, Data Delivery & Analysis and Master Data Management;
- Design and implementation of a future-proof data operating model (including a hub-spoke-satellite structure);
- Translation of strategic data objectives into a clear operational roadmap;
- Ensuring data quality, consistency, availability and cost efficiency;
- Leadership and development of multidisciplinary teams;
- Acting as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders;
- Promoting effective collaboration between business, IT and governance functions;
- Monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement;
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Profile
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in data management, data governance or related domains;
- Proven experience in leading organisational and transformation initiatives;
- Experience in designing and scaling data operating models;
- Strong senior-level stakeholder management capabilities;
- Strategic and analytical mindset combined with pragmatic execution;
- Ability to bring structure to complex environments;
- Leadership style focused on ownership, collaboration and results.
