Assignment
The office in North Holland is the central hub for European operations. It is not only where day-to-day activities are managed, but also where long-term strategies are shaped.
You will be ultimately responsible for the company’s financial operations and will work closely with the CEO and other C-level executives to support and further develop the long-term vision and business objectives of our client.
- Monitor the company’s financial position and performance;
- Take full responsibility for accurate, complete, and timely internal and external reporting (including monthly financials, annual budgets, statutory accounts, investment analyses, and cash flow forecasts) to stakeholders such as the board of directors, investors, and regulatory bodies;
- Lead and be accountable for the finance team (including administration), spread across various international locations;
- In collaboration with the management team, develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth targets and operational ambitions;
- Optimise, coordinate, and oversee the planning & control cycle, analyse business and project results, and prepare long-term financial plans and analyses;
- Responsible for the preparation, development, and monitoring of budgets;
- Play an active role in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investments to support expansion;
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial institutions, investors, and external partners.
Profile
- Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, possibly complemented by a CPA/RA/RC qualification;
- Over 10 years of experience in financial roles, with a proven track record in a comparable interim CFO role. Experience in a dynamic or fast-growing environment, such as private equity, is preferred;
- Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture;
- Background in off-shore and/or supply chain is a strong plus;
- Experience in a project-based environment is essential;
- Strong strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the long-term goals of the business. Able to proactively identify opportunities and create value in a constantly evolving market;
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and corporate governance, particularly within Dutch and European frameworks;
- A balanced and engaging personality who brings energy and easily gains support and builds a strong team spirit;
- High level of personal integrity combined with an entrepreneurial and pragmatic mindset. Acts as a true business partner and financial conscience of the organisation;
- Driven, resilient, and proactive personality;
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
