Position
The organisation is growing rapidly – and so is the finance team. That is why we are looking for a hands-on, accurate and ambitious Financial Controller who is keen to make an impact in an international scale-up environment.
In this role, you will play a key part in further professionalising the finance department. You will work closely with the CFO and a Business Controller and will be responsible for the financial administration, the implementation of a new ERP system and compliance with tax regulations. You will ensure reliable financial data, streamlined processes and actively contribute to the continued growth of the business.
- Position finance as a central, forward-looking function within the organisation;
- Support the implementation of the new ERP system (Exact in combination with Becosoft ODOO) together with the tech and operations teams;
- Coordinate the year-end closing process, including audit preparation and communication with external auditors;
- Prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with Dutch GAAP;
- Collect and review data for various tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, Intrastat) prior to submission by external advisers;
- Prepare accounting position papers for complex or new transactions;
- Set up and manage intercompany pricing structures in line with transfer pricing and compliance requirements;
- Supervise and coach the Accounting Officer, Junior Financial Controller and (Junior) Accounting Associate in their day-to-day work and professional development;
- Support the CFO with month-end closings and internal control processes;
- Contribute to ad hoc analyses, such as cost analyses and business cases.
Profile
- You have completed a degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics;
- You have approximately five years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or audit;
- You have knowledge of Dutch GAAP and Dutch tax legislation;
- You work accurately, are hands-on and are confident in improving existing processes;
- Experience with ERP implementations is a plus – or you are willing to learn this quickly;
- You have an excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written;
- And above all: you are a team player with a positive attitude and a passion for structure and continuous improvement.
