For our client, part of a prominent private equity portfolio firm, we are looking for a strategic and hands on Finance Director who reports directly to the CEO.
Assignment
The Finance Director is the strategic and operational lead for the finance function and report directly to the CEO. The individual in this role will be instrumental in shaping a high-performing, data-centric finance organization that supports the company’s growth ambitions.
In addition to managing core financial operations, the Finance Director will play a key role in strategic planning, partner closely with senior leadership, and drive cross-functional improvements that enhance efficiency and business insight across the organization.
- Oversee all financial activities including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and risk management;
- Define and execute the financial roadmap in alignment with broader corporate objectives;
Lead the IT department and establish a scalable, forward-looking technology strategy; - Develop robust, KPI-driven reporting frameworks to support timely and informed decision-making;
Analyze financial outcomes to uncover opportunities for profitability improvements and cost optimization; - Support investment decisions, business case development, and M&A execution;
Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership team (COO, CSO, etc.) to evaluate and track strategic initiatives; - Manage key external relationships with banks, auditors, shareholders, and other financial stakeholders;
- Oversee corporate compliance, legal structure, insurance, treasury, and tax-related matters.
Profile
- Extensive experience in a senior financial leadership role, with full P&L and balance sheet responsibility;
- Effective leadership style with the ability to adapt to dynamic business environments;
- Proven ability to build, manage, and mentor high-performing finance and IT teams;
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a high level of integrity and accuracy;
- Comfortable in fast-paced, hands-on environments with a pragmatic mindset;
- Experience in manufacturing, including cost modeling and margin management, is highly advantageous;
- Background in private equity-backed or founder-led businesses is a plus;
- International business experience and prior M&A involvement are considered assets;
- Familiar with managing relationships with external financial partners.
