Organisation
For a fast-growing organisation we are seeking a Finance Director who will provide direction for the continued professionalisation of the finance function.
The environment is characterised by scaling, digitalisation, the integration of multiple business units and a strong focus on operational excellence.
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic setting with high ambitions and significant scope to build and shape the organisation.
The organisation consists of several operational entities and is expanding rapidly, both organically and through acquisitions. As a result, complexity is increasing, along with the need for structure, predictability and reliable financial governance.
Position
The Finance Director reports to the CFOO and leads the finance team. The mandate is clear: to establish a well-organised, efficient and high-quality financial operation that serves as the foundation for further growth.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational involvement. It is suited to someone who can set direction for long-term strategic decisions, while also being prepared to personally drive process improvements, oversee implementations and maintain momentum.
Within the organisation, processes, systems and teams are increasingly being integrated. To support this growth sustainably, the organisation requires a Finance Director who will:
- Introduce structure and discipline;
- Enable scalability;
- Elevate financial processes to a higher standard;
- Build a professional, data-driven finance organisation;
- Drive process improvements, standardisation and automation;
- Harmonise systems and support implementations (e.g. ERP and reporting platforms);
- Optimise accounting, reporting and the month-, quarter- and year-end close processes;
- Ensure compliance, internal controls, risk management and audit readiness;
- Develop scalable processes suitable for a multi-entity environment;
- Perform financial and operational analyses (profitability, costs, performance and investments);
- Advise on investments, refinancing and M&A-related integration;
- Lead and develop the finance team (approximately 14 FTE);
- Act as a sparring partner for the CFO, executive leadership and management teams.
Profile
- Master’s degree in a relevant field; RA (Registered Accountant) qualification is advantageous
- 10–15 years of relevant experience, including a senior financial leadership role
- Strong track record in process improvement, digitalisation and automation
- Combines strategic insight with pragmatic execution
- Experience in growth environments, integrations, acquisitions or multi-entity structures
- Strong communicator, analytical, decisive and quality-driven
- Inspirational leadership style: establishes structure, ownership and professional standards
- Affinity with data, IT and modern reporting practices
- Strategic, analytical and results-oriented
- An energetic builder with a keen eye for both detail and the bigger picture
- Resilient, reliable and with high integrity
- A team-oriented leader who encourages development and builds organisational alignment
