The company is an international private equity-backed software business, which develops and delivers mission-critical SaaS and enterprise software solutions for clients operating in complex business environments.
Position
Over the coming years, the organisation’s focus will be on further professionalisation, international expansion, scalable growth, margin improvement and strengthening both financial and operational performance. The CFO will play a pivotal role as a strategic partner to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and shareholders.
As CFO, you will be responsible for further developing a finance function that supports the ambitions of a fast-growing international SaaS organisation. You will bring financial rigour, structure and predictability while ensuring the business remains agile and free from unnecessary complexity.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leaders across Sales, Product, Operations and Marketing, you will ensure that Finance is not only a control function but also a key driver of commercial insight and strategic decision-making.
- Further develop the financial strategy, planning & control framework and performance management cycle.
- Strengthen forecasting, FP&A, SaaS KPI reporting, cash flow management and margin analysis.
- Build investor-grade reporting and develop a compelling value creation narrative.
- Further professionalise financial processes, systems, data quality and internal controls.
- Support sustainable growth in recurring revenue, customer retention and profitability.
- Advise on resource allocation, pricing, investment decisions and commercial strategy.
- Lead or support M&A activities, including due diligence, post-merger integration and synergy tracking.
- Develop a lean, scalable and high-performing finance organisation.
- Act as a trusted business partner to the CEO, Board, shareholders and Executive Leadership Team.
Profile
The successful candidate is an experienced finance executive with a proven track record within software, technology, IT services or a comparable B2B environment. You have a strong understanding of recurring revenue business models, international growth, scalable organisations and private equity value creation.
- University degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accountancy or a related discipline.
- Ideally supplemented with a Chartered Accountant (RA), Registered Controller (RC) or an equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- At least 10 years’ relevant experience, including recent experience in a senior finance leadership position.
- Experience within software, technology, IT services or professional services.
- Strong exposure to private equity environments, value creation initiatives, performance improvement and business scaling.
- Demonstrable experience with investor reporting, corporate transactions, due diligence and exit readiness.
- Strong knowledge of ERP, BI and data systems, with a proven ability to improve reporting, automation and business insight.
- Familiar with Dutch statutory reporting and financial compliance requirements.
- Based in the Netherlands and willing to travel internationally.
- Fluent in English; Dutch would be advantageous.
