Our client operates in the industrial sector and supplies high-quality products worldwide that are crucial in the production processes of leading customers. With production sites in Europe and Asia and a dedicated team of professionals, the company is currently in a strong growth phase. Recently, it has come under the ownership of a private equity firm to accelerate this growth — a process in which the CFO plays a key role.
Assignment
As CFO, you hold ultimate responsibility for the company’s financial operations and will lead the continued professionalization of the organization. You serve as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO and shareholders while also being closely involved in day-to-day operations. You will build reliable financial processes, provide clear reporting, and deliver valuable input on investment decisions, pricing, and performance improvement. You work closely with the private equity firm and play an active role in investment and improvement initiatives.
You are someone who takes initiative, brings structure, and inspires others to embrace change. You collaborate closely with other departments and ensure that the finance organization is future-ready and positioned to support continued growth.
- Lead and develop the finance department, including overseas operations;
- Prepare reports, budgets, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders;
- Manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and maintain relationships with financiers;
- Improve financial processes, systems, and internal controls;
- Act as a sparring partner in strategic decisions, investments, and growth trajectories;
- Take an active role in automation, integration, and professionalization projects;
- Report to and collaborate with the CEO and private equity partner;
- Take part in various improvement initiatives and ensure their alignment and cohesion.
Profile
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accountancy, preferably RA (Registered Accountant) or RC (Chartered Controller);
- Proven experience as the financial lead in an international manufacturing environment;
- Strong analytical skills, combined with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset;
- Extensive experience as a financial decision-maker, including in preparing and optimizing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts;
- Experience with working capital management, procurement, and raw material pricing;
- Affinity with IT, automation, tax matters, and compliance;
- Experience with private equity, acquisitions, and integrations is a strong plus;
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
