IT Audit Manager

The IT Audit Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution and reporting of audits in the IT environment including reviews of IT architecture, processes, security environment and projects. Audits are performed in collaboration with the IT Global Security Coordinator. It will be a challenging self-starting and demanding role for a skilled professional under the leadership of the Director Internal Audit with an opportunity to be the founding father of the IT audit approach. 

More specifically the main tasks and responsibilities include: 

  • Developing and implementing an IT audit methodology
  • Contribute to the existing IT Control Framework
  • Coordinate and perform operational and compliance / governance IT audits including presentation of audit findings and recommendations to senior (IT) management
  • Provide recommendations to senior (IT) management and business operations to facilitate improvements to the internal control environment, specifically to IT projects and developments from a consultancy perspective
  • Liaise with the internal departments (e.g. IT, business functions), and manage relationships with external advisors and external IT auditors

Travelling, 30-35% on average, will be a part of the position.


The right candidate has a university degree in a technical direction such as Computer Science / Engineering as well as advance degree or professional certification such as CISA. A minimum of 8 years of relevant IT audit experience in an international (listed) company, preferably as in-house IT audit specialist or as a specialist within a Consultancy Firm. Proven experience with auditing outsourced IT infrastructure and business applications and complex IT projects. Other competencies and qualities should include:

  • Pleasant, open and flexible personality
  • Pragmatic, hands-on and creative problem solving
  • Strong communication (you are able to explain complex IT issues to the business) and project management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of general IT, IT audit practices, Oracle, Computer Aided Audit Tools (CAAT’s) and the COBIT IT framework, ITIL
  • Experience with data analytics
  • Being a team player but with the ability to operate independently and objectively
  • Exited to work in a diverse and international environment and willing to travel
  • Native language: unspecified, but fluency in English is a must
  • Ability to connect to the IT Leadership team and senior managers within the global IT function
  • Analytical and critical thinking.
