Finance Manager a.i.

Salary / Rateca. Euro 85.00 per hour


An international travel agency which sells directly to the public, via their network of websites, and through thousands of retail travel agencies worldwide. Last year this organisation booked services for almost 80,000 travelers, originating from more than 100 countries.


  • The Finance Manager will provide the company Ownership and Board of Directors with regular financial performance reports and the assurance of internal control processes;
  • Liaising with tax advisors, he or she will supervise or take care of tax obligations and tax planning across jurisdictions;
  • Supporting Due Dillegence projects;
  • Ensuring compliance and auditing;
  • On a day-to-day basis the Finance Manager will be in charge of cash management and the multiple banking and online payment partners;
  • In an ever-changing market and -operating environment, on a project basis he or she will create new work processes and policies where needed;
  • Liaising with their international bank contacts, and the external accountant;
  • The Finance Manager will report directly to the CEO and Board of Directors, while leading the 6-person finance and administration team, of which one is located in the Netherlands.


  • 10 years’ work experience in a leadership role in finance, with an international focus University education (HBO minimal);
  • Getting down to business and willing to work on detailed/operational level when needed Balanced and strong personality, commands respect by behavior and professional expertise;
  • Experience with M&A actvities;
  • Is proactive, flexible, energetic, dynamic and change-oriented; an enterprising and originator and eye for innovative developments;
  • Combines creativity and innovation with a sound pragmatic, hands-on mentality; makes things fast own;
  • Own a business establishment, clearly results-oriented and moves easily and professionally at various levels;
  • Has thorough conceptual and analytical skills; works planned, structured, goal-oriented and professional;
  • Firsthand knowledge of the travel sector is a preference;
  • Excellent communicative skills (verbal/written) in English. Spanish is a must;
  • Residency/work permits for the Netherlands;
  • Ambitious, driven, fun to be around;
  • Willingness to travel international (4-6 per year);
  • Live in or near Amsterdam.
